How it works

From “why won’t it work?” to a clear answer

We diagnose first and only offer a fix when we know it applies to your phone. Here’s the whole journey, start to finish.

  1. 1

    Tell us which phone

    About a minute

Type in your phone’s IMEI number and your email. The IMEI is a 15-digit ID that every phone has. If you’re locked out, we show you where to find it without unlocking the screen.

  2. 2

    Pay for the diagnosis

    Secure card payment

A one-off $9.99 by card. This pays for the checks we run on your phone’s records with the services that hold them.

  3. 3

    )We check your phone__(

    )Usually a few minutes__(

)We look up which lock is on the phone, who it’s locked to, whether it has been reported lost or stolen, which network it’s tied to, and exactly which model it is.__(

  4. 4

    )Read your results__(

    )Yours to keep__(

)You get a page, and an email, explaining what we found in plain English. Where there’s a fix, we show you what it is, what it costs and how long it takes. Where there isn’t, we say so and suggest what to do instead.__(

  5. 5

)Choose a fix, if you want one__(

    )No obligation__(

)If you go ahead, you pay for that fix alone. Your card is already on file from the diagnosis, so you won’t need to type it in again.__(

  6. 6

)A few quick checks, then we get to work__(

    )You can follow every step

)Some fixes need you to confirm the phone is yours, for example with a receipt or a photo of your ID. Your order page shows exactly what’s needed, and you can follow progress there and by email until it’s done.__(

Your phone stays with you

Everything we do works from the IMEI. There’s nothing to post and nothing to install.

We check ownership

We only help people who are entitled to use the phone. It protects you, and it protects whoever might have lost theirs.

Real people if you need them

Got a question at any step? Get in touch and a person will answer.
